Lifting 101 for Women

Join us for a 2 week course reviewing how to perform common exercises including squats, deadlifts, chest press and rows. Leave this course feeling confident in your ability to enter a gym and begin your exercise journey!

This course is designed for ladies who are looking to gain knowledge on how to lift with proper form and those who are looking to gain confidence in their ability to step into a gym and go to the weights sections!

All classes will be from 5:30pm-6:30pm and while they will be educational, they will include active movement. Come prepared to sweat!

Monday, January 5th, 2026 (Squat/Lower body press)

Wednesday, January 7th, 2026 (Upper body press)

Monday, January 12th, 2026 (Hinge/Lower body pull)

Wednesday, January 14th, 2026 (Upper body pull)

Back to School Stress Management

When a licensed counselor partners with a physical therapist with one common goal: Using exercise to improve your mental health.

This is a FREE event for current 9th-12th grade students.

Join Jordan Sanger of Traverse City Teen Counseling and Dr. Sara Gartland of Better Days Physical Therapy for a workshop focused on mental health, exercise and injury prevention.

Come prepared to get your sweat on, but also learn ways to manage stress throughout the school year. Additionally, learn about the importance of movement screens to decrease risk of injury with use of state of the art technology including hand held dynamometers and force plates.

Get ready for an evening of movement, mingling, and major fun with Dr. Julie Brons and Dr. Sara Gartland. Whether you’re there to play pickleball, sip something tasty, or just hang out—we promise good vibes, great people, and a little friendly competition. 🎾

This event will be outdoors, but if needed due to weather, will be moved inside.
